Á: Heill! Hvat heitir þú?Hi! What is your name?
K: Nafn mitt er Kárr inn gamli.My name is Car the Old.
Á: Ásmundr Þórisson heiti ek.And my name is Asmund son of Thore.
K: Hvat manna ertu?Who are you?
Á: Ek em víkingr.I am a viking.
K: Hvat ertu at gøra hér, langt frá hafum, Ásmundr?What do you do here, so far from sea, Asmund?
Á: Ek leita gulls. Sagt er at miklar gørsemar sé í þessum haugi.I look for gold. It’s said, there are a lot of treasures in that caim.
K: Rétt er þat.It’s true.
Á: Hvernig veiztu þetta, Kárr?But how do you know this, Car?
K: Ek bý þar. Ek em haugbúi.I live there. I am a caim-dweller [i.e. ghost].
